Job Description
GreenTrail Landscape & Design, Inc. is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and professional Landscape & Hardscape Crew Leader to manage field operations and lead an on-site crew. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in both precision hardscaping and softscaping, excels at maintaining high quality control standards in the field, and has a proven track record of safely managing crew dynamics and project timelines.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Field Management: Manage, motivate, and direct a landscaping crew out in the field to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and up to company standards.
  • Hardscape Installation: Execute and oversee the installation of patios, walkways, steps, and retaining walls, with expert-level knowledge of checking grades, shooting elevations, setting proper levels, and sub-base preparation.
  • Softscape & Maintenance: Oversee softscape installations (tree, shrub, and perennial planting) as well as premium residential property maintenance operations.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate and navigate a truck and trailer setup to transport crews, heavy machinery, and materials to and from job sites.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in both hardscaping (patios, walls, stone work) and softscaping/landscape maintenance.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing and leading a crew in the field.
  • Driving Record: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and verified experience safely operating a truck and trailer combination.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading landscape designs, establishing grades, and utilizing leveling equipment (lasers, transit levels) to ensure flawless hardscape execution.
  • Attributes: Strong communication skills, a professional demeanor when interacting with clients, and a detail-oriented mindset.
